Center for Law and Public Policy

The Center for Law and Public Policy, a non-governmental organization, was established with a vision to:

  1. Mentor young Seventh-day Adventists interested in pursuing careers in law and government
  2. Nurture community among Adventist attorneys and public policy makers
  3. Advocate public policy from an Adventist perspective

Guided by this vision, the Center: trains aspiring lawyers and policy-makers in the theory and methods of public policy and advocacy; organizes conferences and seminars to provide opportunities for fellowship and to inform Adventist attorneys and public policy-makers on current issues, particularly as they relate to human rights and bear on the highly vulnerable; and advocates on Capitol Hill for issues of health and human rights while educating the wider Adventist community regarding these activities.
