Introduction

There are numerous advantages to participating in the Cooperative Education experience at Columbia Union College.

Each profession has specific facets which cannot be learned in the traditional academic setting. By combining resources from employers and CUC, Co-op work experience increases students' options for employment, even before graduation. Direct on-the-job experience in a supervised, evaluated work placement improves the overall educational experience and gives students a head-start in acquiring work experience. Plus, some placements even result in employment after graduation!

The Co-op program is a nationally-recognized standard for registering relevant work experience. This fact, along with CUC's unique location in the nation's capital, allows us to provide students with opportunities they simply can't get anywhere else.

Mission

Our goal is to create an optimal learning experience through a partnership between students, Columbia Union College and work or internship organizations. This partnership benefits all participants, and ultimately serves and benefits the larger community.
